Wagashi class in English: Sweets for summer

Few people can say no to the adorable sweets known as waka ayu – soft pancakes wrapped around a chewy mochi filling and made to look like fish.

We can’t resist them either so we’ll be taking a break from flower shapes at our monthly Ohana (flower) class to make waka ayu, a treat associated with summer. This class is highly recommended for beginners or anyone who likes pancakes. And, let’s face it, who doesn’t?
