Ever wanted to make Japanese sweets from scratch?

Monthly classes in English are being offered from January 2018 at Wagashi Issho, a confectionery school in Kyoto conveniently located near the Karasuma-Rokkaku junction.

In the first class, students will learn to make the red and white bean pastes used to fill many traditional Japanese sweets. The lesson will also feature zenzai – a red bean soup dessert.
